Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, logging in, or using the BillBookFree billing terminal software (the "Service") or the Desktop Printer Helper companion app, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.
2. Service Plans & Subscription Terms
BillBookFree offers a Free Tier and a premium Business subscription plan:
- Free Tier: Includes core Point-of-Sale features, restricted to a limit of 100 invoices/bills generated per calendar month (reset on the 1st of every month) and a maximum of 50 active inventory products. Invoices generated on the Free tier will include a small logo watermark.
- Business Subscription: Offers unlimited invoicing, unlimited products, removal of watermarks, custom business registration numbers, and backup services for $7/month or $70/year.
- Billing & Payments: Subscription fees are processed securely via Paddle, our payment merchant partner. Your subscription will renew automatically according to the cycle selected (monthly/annually) until cancelled. Please review our Refund Policy for subscription refund terms.
- Cancellation: You can cancel your premium subscription at any time directly from your user dashboard. Upon cancellation, your account will remain active in Business mode until the end of the current billing cycle, after which it will downgrade to the Free Tier and enforce the standard limits.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use our billing terminal responsibly:
- Legal Operations: You will not use the service to record transactions for illegal goods, money laundering, or fraudulent operations.
- Local Printer Helper: The Printer Helper companion app must only be used on personal machines. Do not attempt to bypass local whitelisting configurations or private network requests.
4. Disclaimer of Warranty
The service is provided "AS IS" and without warranty of any kind. While we make every effort to provide 99.9% uptime, we are not liable for:
- Any print transaction delays, receipt printer mismatches, or temporary printer helper disconnects.
- Data loss resulting from locally configured browser caches, database resets, or network failures.
5. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms. We will notify users of any significant modifications by updating the effective date on this page.
